Find Wellington City YHA
Located in downtown central Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, the Wellington YHA City is the flagship YHA in New Zealand. The location is excellent as you have the whole downtown area on your doorstep, a big New World Supermarket opposite and Te Papa museum within 5 mins walk. Parking is a headache in the daytime.
Facilities
What can we say about the excellent facilities! Well there is a very well equipped kitchen and lots of communal areas for everyone to enjoy. The rooms themselves are of a high quality but can be a little noisy dut to noise from the roads srurrounding the hostel.
Splendid l ounges and TV rooms adorn this hostel as do the cafe.
Friendliness
This hostel is pretty big so loses it sense of community but it is still pretty friendly place considering the size. There are a few long termers lurking but the relative high cost of this hostel keeps them marooned in Wellington's more dodgy hostels.
Finally
Would possibly get full marks if the hostel wasn't so big.9/10
